Visited Mike while travelling back to Wellington ... Mike Ward a Nelson Artist has worked as a self employed artist for most of his adult life. He is very aware of the issues facing both small business people and those in the creative industries. Mike continues to work as a self-employed artist & craftsperson, illustrator, sculptor and jewellery maker and can be spotted Saturday mornings at his stall at the Nelson market. Mike has used his skills in practical ways to support many campaigns such as those to reduce waste, recycle and generally persuade people to live richly and well. Mike also designed the illustration for Nelson's new manhole covers. Wearable Art Work Mike is a regular entrant and a Supreme Award winner at the World of Wearable Art Awards. He first entered in 2001 with 'Sir Edmonds' winner of the 'Man Unleashed' section and has kept on entering. An artist...
